Client & Location Information

This full-time permanent Pharmacist Manager role is based across two small community pharmacies in Central Queensland, approximately 45 minutes from a major regional centre. These welcoming rural communities offer a relaxed lifestyle, strong local relationships, and the opportunity to practise genuine country pharmacy.

A fully furnished two-bedroom apartment is provided just five minutes' walk from the main pharmacy, along with a vehicle for work and local use. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist seeking stability and meaningful community engagement, with the employer looking for a 1-2 year commitment as a minimum.

Job Specification

As the Sole Pharmacist, you will oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations including dispensing, counselling, customer service, stock ordering, and opening and closing procedures. There are no dispensing technicians or shop staff, providing full professional autonomy and responsibility.

You will work across both stores, with paid travel time (2.5 hours return) when rostered at the second pharmacy. The pharmacy uses Z Software and dispenses very light script numbers at each location. There are no methadone, ORT, CPOP or DAA services.

The roster averages 106 hours per fortnight. A part-time pharmacist supports alternate weekends, including Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday shifts.

Skills Required

• Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist.
• Strong organisational and leadership capability.
• Confident working independently as Sole Pharmacist.
• Excellent communication and community engagement skills.
• Commitment to rural practice for 1-2 years minimum.
  
  Salary & Benefits
  
  $65 per hour plus superannuation, equating to a $200,000 package inclusive of super. Accommodation and a vehicle are provided. Weekend and Friday evening penalty details to be confirmed. Negotiable based on experience.
