Client & Location Information: A rural town in the Western Downs Chinchilla is known as the Melon Capital of Australia. Located approximately 300kms North West of Brisbane and West North West of Toowoomba. Beautiful parks and walks, renowned fishing, historic museum, the big melon and Chinchilla Weir alongside charming local shops.


Job Specification: You will be dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently using Z dispense and Meditech. Providing counselling to patients on their use of medications, OTC products and other related services. You will be supported by 1 part time pharmacist, 1 tech and 3 other shop staff, including a FT experienced Retail Manager. Vaccinating exp is essential.. You will be providing advice for primary health presentations e.g. rashes and wounds. You will be required to oversee the DAA packs (150-200pts). And you will assist in PPA e.g. meds checks.


Dates: Monday 18th May to Saturday 26th September 2026
ideally one pharmacist but would consider splitting the contract between 2 locums. At this time we are only wanting applications from locums who can start ont he 18th May

Hours:

Monday to Friday // 8.30am - 5.30pm. (30 min break).
Saturday // 8.30am - 12.30pm. (30 min break)
Closed Sunday and Public Holidays.

Experience essential.

* Registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
* Experience with Z dispense (preferred).
* Experience as a sole pharmacist (preferred) .
* Vaccination experience essential
* Cannabis preferred but not essential.


Salary and Benefits: (paid By Pharmacy)
Weekdays: $70/hr + super.
Weekends: $75/hr + super.

Extras: Travel and Accommodation.

Travel: $0.99/km from Brisbane or similar no flights.
Accommodation: Yes but no pets allowed either at the Chinchilla Downtown Motel next door to Pharmacy or can get a townhouse at Stonewood Villas about 5 minutes away if they need a kitchen
