Are you trained and certified to administer vaccinations?

Vaccination accredited Pharmacists have never been as vital and in such high demand.

Pharmacists are on the front line of health care and are doing a tremendous job of supporting the community during the COVID-19 crisis.

With the influenza season upon us, as well as the recent announcement that Pharmacist immunisers in QLD will be part of any COVID-19 vaccination rollout, vaccination accredited Pharmacists have never been as vital and in such high demand as what they are in 2020.

If you are trained and certified to administer vaccinations, please email through a copy of your completion certificate to info@ravensrecruitment.com.au to ensure your Raven's profile is up to date.

If you would like to update your availability for locum and permanent work, please let us know by contacting our people.

If you have not yet completed a vaccination course, the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) has recently announced increased availability for more training on essential courses.  More information is available below.

PSA Essential Training

New online training format to meet the increased demands of the 2020 influenza season.

In response to the increased demand for pharmacist administered influenza vaccinations and mental health support PSA is providing more training on essential courses.

PSA is also transitioning to online delivery so pharmacists and intern pharmacists can complete essential training while complying with social distancing and minimising workforce disruptions.

Learning for the First Aid and CPR courses is completed online with the theory assessment also being completed in the pre-course work. The face to face assessment is then a very short face to face component with the trainer where students show the skills required for the particular unit. The trainer may provide feedback and correction opportunities where there are minor issues however students are expected to read the requirements and understand how to perform the tasks when they attend the session.

Immunisation courses have different options to attend the practical and assessment session depending on your state or territory.

First Aid and CPR training are essential requirements for:

  • New or current pharmacists immunisers and

  • Intern pharmacists in order to meet requirements for general registration
