A rare and exciting opportunity for a full time Pharmacist has become available working alongside veterinary consultants in the production animal health industry located in a gorgeous regional town, approximately 1 and a half hour's drive from Melbourne, Victoria.
As the full time Pharmacist your work day will see you manage all required prescription and non-prescription medications that have been ordered by this company's consultant veterinarians and farm clients. You would be responsible to ensure the products comply with quality standards and are distributed not only in an efficient manner but also within the relevant legislation and policy standards.
Accuracy and attention to detail is paramount with this role, as you will be making sure dispensing and labelling information is correct, consistent with the Approved Medications Lists and any abnormal prescriptions detected and investigated. You will manage stock control and ensure storage is compliant with regulations.
With an opportunity to work within a well-established company in a new and rapidly developing role, you will be organising the daily workflow, developing and implementing quality assurance processes and overseeing quality assurance audits. You will liaise primarily with the team of production animal consultant veterinarians and on occasion with their farm clients.
The ideal candidate will have a positive and cheerful attitude and exceptional attention to detail. You would have an understanding and current knowledge with dispensing regulations and legislation and have demonstrated knowledge in pharmaceutical compliance and or supply, storage and security of veterinary/ human pharmaceutical products.
You will enjoy the challenge of helping this company to develop and grow their consultancy businesses.
* Registered as a pharmacist with the Australian Pharmacy Board (AHPRA).
* Understanding of dispensing Regulations and Legislation.
* Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
* Proven ability to work within a team harmoniously and independently.
* Experience working as a Pharmacist in Charge or sole charge Pharmacist is an advantage.
* Familiarity with animal health pharmaceuticals is advantageous but not essential.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm
Salary & Benefits:
Salary is negotiable on experience.
