Join an exception team within a leading cancer care centre caring for patients across Sydney. This position is located in the Wollongong area. You will work from world class medical facilities delivering state of the art oncology care in a stimulating clinical environment with strong professional support .


Job Specification

You work as an integral part of a dedicated team delivering pharmacy services, working tow or three weekdays from 8am to 4pm. Your duties will include:

Clinically reviewing patients and their oncology treatment protocols;
Dispensing and checking prescriptions in accordance regulations;
Carrying out medication, reconciliation processes and assisting with stock and inventory management.
Your ability to providing patient education and counselling;
Coordinating clinical trials and compassionate access programmes will be the key to your success.

Your experience around compounding aseptic cytotoxic and non-cytotoxic products would be well regarded as is your ability to build and maintain close relationships with health professionals within an experienced advanced oncology pharmacy services team.

Skills Required

• Current registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA.
• Proven experience working in oncology or hospital pharmacy is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated patient centred care and empathy.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team and adapt to patients' individual needs.
