This well-established pharmacy is located in a busy shopping area in Port Macquarie, offering direct access to the beach-perfect for a lunchtime swim, walk, or coffee by the ocean. Positioned next to a busy medical clinic, the pharmacy plays a central role in the local community, supported by a loyal and long-standing customer base who value personalised care. This is an ideal setting for a pharmacist seeking both lifestyle and meaningful patient engagement, combined with strong clinical collaboration across multiple care environments.

Job Specification:

This unique hybrid role blends community pharmacy with established aged care (ACOP) services across a number of sites. In the retail setting, you will provide dispensing and clinical checking services, deliver patient-centred counselling, administer vaccinations, and offer professional services including MedsChecks and minor ailment prescribing. You will also support daily workflow and build lasting relationships with patients and families in a full time or permanent part time position.

Within aged care, you will conduct medication reviews, identify medication-related risks, support deprescribing initiatives, and optimise therapy-particularly for residents with polypharmacy. The role includes medication reconciliation, transition-of-care support, and clinical audits (e.g. psychotropics and PRN use).

The pharmacy operates Monday to Saturday with a light script trade, you will be supported by two other Retail pharmacists, while a large ACOP team cover the Aged Care facilities

Skills Required

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist
  • Accreditation for HMR/ RMMR/ACOP
  • Experience in community,clinical services or aged/residential care
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Vaccination certification and professional services experience

Salary & Benefits

  • $50/hr + Training or $55/hr + superannuation + entitlements
  • Part time or Full-time 38-hour week (Monday to Friday + occasional Saturday)
